It was decided from the beginning to make the brand symbol "rabbit". So I want to create a cute character that is not anywhere! I thought.
So, from the beginning, I saw a lot of photos of "real rabbits", and I drew it while referring to the soft form of the body, eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.
Otherwise, you can't draw anything with originality. There are many world -famous senior rabbits, including Miki House's Usako.
That said, the road before Chieko was born was severe.
When you approach the real rabbit, you will have no expression, and if you exaggerate your eyes and nose parts, you will be away from the originality you are aiming for.
Chieko I wrote for the first time
1This is what I drew. When I was observing the real rabbits, I was happy to discover that the shape of the nose was heart -shaped. Chieko's nose is a heart! I decided.
In addition, I wanted to express fluffy fur, and I wanted to make it look cute, but it was rejected.
Trial and error over and over again, as a companyOKHere is what came out.
Although it is detailed, I think that the impression of the eyes and the whole form have changed from the stuffed animal to the more lively "Chieko".

Pucci and Usako, familiar with Miki House, have front and back expressions for their faces and limbs.2DMain. However, in Chiekosaku, I wanted to change the world view of Chikosaku more vigorously when I changed it from Miki House and put it in clothes, etc., with detailed expressions and limbs.

Chikosaku and Miki House
Is it the difference between Miki House's design for girls and Chikosaku?
It's a difficult question, but the different points are broadly divided2In addition, there is one thing that cannot be separated from Miki House.
Fragile1Tsu is a "retro" feeling. When I hear retro, I love it! It is divided into those who are not interested. I think that is good.
I like the retro feeling of Chikosaku! I want to design so that I can love it even more. Like the embroidery flowers and Bambi that appeared as a friend of Chieko.
already1Tsu is the expression of the silhouette and details of clothes. Blouses with a large collar, soft silhouette of dresses and skirts, and scalap -like cutting give a "lovely" impression that is a bit different from the cuteness of Miki House.
In addition, it is nostalgic but nostalgic, but I value the "season" so that you can enjoy it further and enjoy it, so I am glad if you can feel it.

Real reason why Chikosaku is cute
Miki House is a brand loved by many people for more than half a century. The design of luxurious and cute pcchi, rabbit embroidery and uplike is very popular every year. Along with the Miki House Logo, it can be said that the design of the world of Miki House is expressed as much as you want.
In order to express the elaborate and delicate design of Miki House with embroidery and applique, high technical skills and craftsmanship are indispensable.
Because of the "Miki House Quintility" that has been cultivated for many years, I think that Chikosaku is "cute".
In other words, the leading role of Chikosaku's design is embroidery and uplike like Miki House. But "Miki House +αIf you don't have it, it's not a chekosaku.
For example, this photo. The brown edge line is embroidered on both Chieko and Bambi. In the case of Miki House, the line embroidery that emphasizes the silhouette is not done, but it is done in Chikosaku. The reason is that I want to express the lively silhouette of Chieko and Bambi. It is a technique that requires high technical capabilities for that. It is not something that is completed overnight, but because of the technology and quality cultivated in Miki House.

I want as many children as possible to like the Chiekosaku that I am particular about this way, and even after I grow up, I liked the rabbit clothes of Chikosaku. It is our thoughts that we can continue to make clothes that are memorable.
I think our thoughts will be the designer of our clothes. That's why I design with the happy feeling of "fun" and "happy".
Right now, for the next new work, we will explore new colors like Chikosaku, and design a new side of Chieko.
